Bonsoir

Hi everyone, I've had an eye on this thread for a while and decided to register and join in as there's some interesting stuff going on here and I wanted to contribute as well. I'm the same zAndy1 from avforums and posted the 'review' on YouTube a few weeks ago. In case anyone isnt aware I sent my first sent back when hisense told me the big in theatre mode (noise / banding eg on Skyfall) wouldn't be fixed. Turns out that issue has been resolved in the last firmware update so I ordered another one that arrived with a smashed screen, I'd kind of decided this TV wasn't for me at that point but decided to give it another chance so my 3rd set arrived yesterday. So far I'm very happy with 1080i/p material on Sky / Bluray but I'm getting stuttering paying movies on kodi on my nvidia shield and stuttering on Netflix on the nvidia shield and when set to 4k resolution the ultra smooth motion setting is greyed out and seems to be set at a medium setting as it has the soap opera effect. Hisense really need to sort the stuttering out and allow the ultra smooth motion setting to be changed with 4k hdmi sources or at least default it to of off or low, apart from that I really hope they add hdr sooner rather than later after all uhd bluray is going to be available soon..
I'm persevering with this TV because the blacks are so amazing and I'm confident it has bags of potential but there are some things letting it down right now, come on Hisense get things sorted out please and let this TV fulfil its potential

We also hope the next firmware will resolve some points as the grey smooth setting option in 4K.
I also have those issues in 4K with my Nvidia Shield, so I go back to my HTPC and I will upgrade it with a GTX960 soon for 4K. By the way, the nvidia shield quality is really below HTPC quality. It's obvious on this TV .
And welcome

Merci
