Hi there from the very sunny and very hot CRETE!!!


I am an owner of a Samsung 4K UN55F9000 with the SEK-2500 (last year update from the original).
Yesterday, i received the new OCB SEK-3500 and after i made the backup of the settings from the old!!(already?) OCB SEK-2500, i have these problems.:


1) The TV now appears to be UE65JS9500 !!!
2) Wi-Fi and 3D are unavailable! (Don't work)!
3) the PIP and PAP don't work property! (you can't change the channel in PIP-PAP like before. By arrows and channel +- button)!
4) Internal audio is very bad!
5) Cinema Black is not available!(grey in settings)!
6) When the TV starts up I get the new SUHD logo! (i have the UHD UN55F9000)!
7) The TV with SEK-3500 made an update after the installation, but nothing changed for the better. NOTHING!!!


I don't know if these problems where mentioned before, but can any owner with Samsung UNF9000 + SEK-3500 state that he or she found THE SOLUTION of these problems?????

If someone found it , can he or she write down the WHOLE ONE!!

This is a known issue for some or the whole F9000 owners. I don't really know if it's all f9000 owners that are having this problems !

About the solution it's quite simple but the backwards of the solution is the fact that you have to inter in a special menu on the TV witch could void your warranty if Samsung find out that use that menu for a configuration purpose!

Here is the solution posted on another thread I use it my self and indeed it solved the problem! Basically the problem comes from the fact that the OC3 is not recognizing your TV cause it takes it as a JS9500! But before following this, I'll advice you to call SAMSUNG services they actually will tell you that the Oc3 has no support from Samsung in FRANCE because it's not yet on the French market! Try to insist and finally a technician will take control of your TV remotely and he will enter in that special menu and will do exactly the same things in the solution below! The only one difference is that as this were performed by a Samsung technician, there is no risk to void your warranty.

I assume that you actually can read a French post, if you have problems understanding this, feel free to ask for help!
Ps : each time you read 65 on the solution below you have to change it to 55 cause you have a 55f9000 not a 65f9000!
for the local setting I dont really witch one you have to choose but assuming that you have the unf9000 and not the EUf9000 so choose US! But before making a choice are you living in France if yes how did you get a unf9000 in France? and your OC3 is it the sek-3500U/ZA? Or sek-3500U/Zg or sek-3500U/xc?

in the special menu, never use the back arrow to go back use return button instead! The back arrow behaves exactly like the front arrow! So be careful to not change options without knowing what you are doing!

And of course all the risks are yours, and I'm not responsible of any damage that may occur while doing this! And finally my apologies for my crappy English!

Rebonsoir alors pour le tuto je vais vous expliquer exactement ce que moi j'ai fait et qui a marcher pour moi je ne serais en aucun cas responsable si vous faite des mauvaises manip sur votre TV, accéder et naviguer dans le menu Advanced du service mode n'est pas sans risque, je préfère vous prévenir avant!

Maintenant que c'est dit, je peux passer à la procédure, pour accéder a ce menu il faut en fait une télécommande spéciale faite pour les techniciens, seulement on peut la trouver sur ebay a environ 30e mais comme je suis un petit peu pingre j'ai trouver une solution pour contourner cette dépense d'argent et de temps. On va se servir du petit port IR déporté livré avec le téléviseur.
Pour ce faire nous allons recuperer les codes IR de la telecommande de service et les envoyer au port IR pour accéder au fameux menu ADVANCED (perso je me suis servi que d'un seul code) voici le lien:

1. Branchez le câble du port IR dans la sortie écouteur jack 3.5 de votre PC et placer le port IR en bas a droite de votre télé de façon à ce qu'il puisse communiquer avec le TV
2. Allumez normalement le TV, mettez-vous sur HDMI1 même si je suis presque sûr que n'importe quelle source marche
3. Sur votre PC augmentez le son au maximum et avec Itunes, ouvrez le fichier "INFO_FACTORY_inv.wav" se trouvant dans l'archive téléchargée précédemment (me demandez pas pourquoi les codes sont au format .wav)
4. Sur le TV devrait s'ouvrir le SERVICE MENU avec en plus, tout en bas le menu ADVANCED

5. Placez vous sur ADVANCED et tapez 0000 sur la télécommande pour y accéder
6. Une fois dedans, vous pouvez entrer dans le menu nommé OPTION
7. Dans ce menu vous allez modifier seulement 3 choses, le type de dalle, la région du TV et le modèle
8. Dans TYPE, pour les F9000 il faut choisir 65A1UUZL et pour les HU8500 mettez 65A1UU9RH (le type de dalle peut être trouver dans service menu normal mais avec le boitier d'origine du téléviseur)
9. Dans LOCAL SET vous l'aurez deviner EU_FRANCE là ça vaut pour les 2 modèles
10. Et enfin dans SW MODEL pour les F9000, mettez UF9000 et pour les HU8500 mettez UHU8500. Ce sont les seules modifications a faire! Ne touchez à rien d'autre sous peine d'endommager sérieusement le TV
11. Une fois fait, remontez en haut et faite un Factory reset
12. Ensuite, quand le téléviseur s’éteint, débranchez l'alim et rebranchez votre OC1/OC2 puis rebranchez l'alim
13. Refaite votre Sauvegarde pour le kit evolution
14. Rebranchez votre SEK-3500 et là il devrait bien reprendre votre sauvegarde et donc suivez la procédure

Voila j'ai essayer de détailler au maximum chaque étapes que moi j'ai effectuer et qui ont fonctionner donc bon courage a tout ceux qui auront le problème!

Pour ceux qui possède le SEK-2500 pouvez-vous me dire qu'elle est la version logicielle de votre application Netflix dans le SmartHub ? Moi j'ai la version 4.0753 du 14/03/15 ! Netflix me dit que cette version est obsolète mais ma TV ne me propose pas de mise à jour !!!

J'ai acheté récemment le modèle UE55F9000SLXZF. J'ai trouvé une mise à jour du firmeware toute récente datant du 27/07/15 : T-FXP9DEUC_2229.2.

La version indiquée par ma TV même après une vérification de mise à jour par Internet est : 1260 (plus précisément T-GFP9DEUC-1260.3, BT-S/G)

J'ai cherche à mettre à jour le firmeware de ma TV UE55F9000 via USB mais je n'y arrive malgré le suivi scrupuleux de la procédure Samsung.

J'ai mis la nouvelle version dans une clé USB formatée FAT32 et j'ai décompressé le fichier conformément à la procédure.
Je n'ai pas réussi à l'installer sur la TV malgré plusieurs tentatives via le menu assistance / mise à jour du logiciels et ce dans plusieurs configurations :
USB sur OneConnect, USB directement à l'arrière de la TV, redémarrage TV avant / après , suppression de la connexion Internet ...
La TV cherche systématiquement la version du firmeware en ligne et ne détecte pas la version de la clé USB. J'ai posté une demande à Samsung en attente de réponse.

Avez-vous réussi à installer cette mise à jour via USB ?
