Hisense 65H10B: 65 inch, 4K, HDR, Quantum Dot, Full Array LD, 240 zones, 3 grand!
[quote name="JakeNY28" post=39469922]OK, we had a chance to manually update the firmware on the TV, and it did fix the HDCP 2.2 issue, so this is no longer a problem. We're still working with Hisense to address the USB issues—loss of horizontal resolution on photos, and HEVC support. But the bigger issue has been addressed. Hisense says new models should automatically update to the latest firmware upon initial boot-up, but that didn't happen with the set we bought in October. If you have purchased the 65H10B and have this issue, you can download the update—a 500MB file—from the company's website and load it onto a USB drive.
On another note, Hisense tells us they it will be issuing another firmware update shortly that will enable HDR and update its HDMI 2.0 inputs to HDMI 2.0a. The TV will conform to the SMPTE HDR standards.
Hope this info helps. --Jim Willcox, Consumer Reports
No sign of any updates on the UK hisense website yet
I hope they don't drag their heels updating the UK site...

Source:I’ve had my 65H10B2 for about 5 days now and thought I’d share my initial impressions. I originally ordered a Samsung 8500, but since that one came with a cluster of bright green stuck pixels in the middle of the screen, I had to exchange it. I guess I was lucky that Amazon had no 8500s in stock to replace the “green-dot special edition” I received, which is why I ended up ordering the Hisense, based on initial positive buzz on the web and this thread. All in all, I’m very happy with my purchase! This is an amazing TV with a few minor issues that can hopefully be addressed via software updates. It absolutely blows the edge-lit 8500 out of the water — probably no surprise there, as some folks on this thread have stated that it compares even favorably to the full-array 9500. Here’s a quick summary of what I like and dislike so far:
Pros
•Really deep blacks, great contrast, vibrant images
•Netflix 4k streaming looks absolutely stunning
•No flashlighting or backlight bleeding
•Low input lag. This may be pretty subjective and I didn’t measure anything scientifically, but for me this is a great gaming TV. Actually, while I really don’t like the soap opera effect introduced by the Ultra Smooth Motion feature for any film material, I think it improves the visual quality of games quite noticeably. Interestingly, even outside of gaming mode and with Ultra Smooth Motion set to medium, I didn’t perceive lag as an issue (played several levels of Halo 5 without any problem and everything was responsive, fluid and vibrant).
•Stylish design. While the 6 degree lean is a bit unusual, the Hisense actually looks like a well-designed, high-end TV. Unlike the design of the Samsung 7500 or 8500, you also don’t have to worry about the TV’s stability or horizontal alignment (the 8500 I had looked a bit crooked on its stand).
Cons
•The 6 degree lean takes a bit of time to get used to. I may give it a month or so and then decide if I’ll wall-mount it, lower the height of my TV console by taking its feet off or leave it as is. In the end, changing the set-up may not make a huge difference, as I agree with the Consumer Reports review on the limited impact of different vertical viewing angles on overall image quality. I don’t think that putting something under the two rear stands is a viable solution to reduce the lean, as it would not only look a bit clunky, but also go against the design of the front bar, which has a flat bottom side that is supposed to rest on the surface.
•Slightly darker corners, as others have reported as well. Really barely noticeable with most content, so not a big deal to me.
•As far as I can tell, the Amazon app can currently not stream 4k video. Not sure if this needs to be addressed by Hisense or Amazon. I guess I’ll ask both. I’m sure this will be addressed eventually, but it’s a bit surprising that it doesn’t work right away.
•Programming my Harmony remote was a bit tricky, as Logitech doesn’t have a profile for this Hisense model in their database yet. Using the original remote to let the Harmony learn all necessary commands worked fine. However, the biggest issue with the remote for me is that there’s no way to directly select a specific HDMI input. The Harmony can theoretically flip through different inputs sequentially, but this is virtually guaranteed to go out of sync, so I didn’t even try to make this work. Instead, I assigned the “next Input” button to one of the Harmony buttons, so that I can manually select the right input with a couple of clicks on the Harmony after I start an activity.
•The power light is very bright when the TV is turned off. Not a big problem if you don’t need complete darkness in the same room at night. There’s a setting to turn the power light off completely, but then it’s unclear if the TV is really off or if there’s just no signal.
While the Cons might read like a long laundry list of problems, I think they’re all really minor niggles and I’m sure some of them will be addressed by upcoming updates. What really stands out about this TV is the outstanding image quality: super vibrant with deep blacks. So, this TV is maybe not quite an “A+" yet, but it’s still a solid “A” in my book. Very happy with it!

Re: Hisense ULED 2.0 Ultra HD TV Courbé 55/65XT910 WCG / HDR
